Message from the Chief

Serving as your Chief of Police is an incredible honor, and I am humbled to have been given this responsibility. I have grown up in this department, starting when I went on my first ride along at 15 years old. I love the people who work here, and I love our Fresno community.

I never take for granted the widespread public support the Fresno Police Department and its personnel receive from the incredible people living and working in our city. Every day our personnel report for duty, they work diligently to accomplish our law enforcement mission, making Fresno a safer place for our community to live and thrive.

Over my nearly 30 years at Fresno PD, we have become experts at stretching every dollar and making it count, but from time to time there are funding gaps that make it difficult to attend out of town training or purchase specialized equipment to increase our professionalism and maximize efficiency.
