Fresno is an amazing place. A mid-sized town by California standards, a large metropolis almost anywhere else. As the largest city in the Central Valley, Fresno has high expectations for itself and so does the Fresno Police Department. Fresno is not an island; nor is our Police Department. The Fresno Police Department forges partnerships with other agencies, cities, the County of Fresno and the State to provide its residents with a better quality of life by increasing public safety. The Fresno Police Chief’s Foundation works to forge partnerships with its citizens and local businesses to assist the Department in its mission.
The Fresno Police Chief’s Foundation exists to help the Department fund the programs, services and equipment needed to be better prepared to connect with our community and respond to its needs. These are needs that cannot be funded through other means. These resources can help the Department forge stronger relationships with the citizens who live, work, shop and recreate in our great city, and provide greater public safety for all of them.
I encourage you to take a close look at the community efforts and programs that the Fresno Police Department is involved with; those listed on this website, those that are ongoing in your neighborhoods, and those that the Department supports through partnerships with our great local agencies.
